Chris started life like most humans, covered in placenta and with minimal motor skills. It was not long before he learned how to use both hands and feet as a groove-oriented drummer in a variety of bands across the Boston music scene. With over 40 years of experience, Chris has been playing drums longer than doing anything else.[/one_third][one_third] Name a Boston venue and Chris has likely played it – several times. From high above Boston at the Top of the Hub lounge to the basement of the Rathskeller. From the Wetlands in NYC to a wedding at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, he’s played it. From the upscale vibe of the Social Restaurant in Newton to the beloved beer-soaked dive bar The Woodshed on Cape Cod, he’s played it.
During the glory years of Allston Rock City in the ‘90s, Chris was in a power rock/funk trio that headlined The Paradise Rock Club, The Middle East and Local 186 (formerly Bunratty’s and currently The Wonder Bar) on several occasions. He was also the drummer for the house band at Harper’s Ferry (now Brighton Music Hall) and on one particular evening accepted a $600 tip from the hand of Darius Rucker. Chris is the latest addition to the Boston Naturals family and is looking forward to even more venues. Cash tips are still honored.
